I started a new series the first day I moved into my loft on Prince Street. It deals with the visual effects of man made structures and objects against the skyline and of light playing on those things. To me, the central question that arises is whether or not the architects, planners, and engineers, had those effects in mind when the structures were erected and objects put into use. Of course other questions follow, regarding man’s sensitivity to the natural environment and, of special concern, our culture’s concern for aesthetics and how that relates to the quest for capital gain.
The series does not pass any judgements; it only examines. To see more of this series, click here.
