The subject of the majority of photographs from my current trip is a combination of nature and man made structure. A question keeps coming up – which is intruding on which, or are they co-existing?

A photograph does not have to represent or refer to something external. It’s ok for the viewer to like or dislike it based on gut reaction.

Just got done shooting in Arizona, and now, I’m comfortably installed at my nephew’s apartment in San Francisco. I’ll start shooting tomorrow.

Rained all day in Phoenix. Both here and Tucson seem all edge – desert and suburbs. Fly to San Francisco tomorrow. All city.

Been using strobe in Arizona desert more than I ever have in dark places. Cactus and buildings. Cactus and posts. Cactus and deterioration.

I am opening my studio to public and hosting a grand opening of gallery with debut showing of “Looking Glass” March 26, 4:00.

Show is hung at May Day Cafe-Minneapolis. Up through February. Few pieces, but cream. Studio-lightroom-gallery remodel almost finished.

Most of my work is about the human landscape. Within that circle is a number of smaller series, or projects. One that seems to be collecting itself is “Back to Nature,” alternately called Nature Reserve ( or should that be Preserve or Reverse?)
